Government Fires 3 IAF Officials After BrahMos Missile Accidentally Fired Into Pakistan

Three Indian Air Force officers, including a Group Captain and two wing commanders, were fired with immediate effect on August 23 as a result of BrahMos missile misfire event. On March 9, a BrahMos missile was unintentionally launched from an airfield and landed near Mian Channu in Pakistan. A Court of Inquiry convened to examine the facts of the case and determined that three officers breached the Standard Operating Procedures.

India To Train Philippines Military On BrahMos Missile System

The Indian Force is set to begin training of the Philippines Military on the new BrahMos Missile system, the first anti-ship cruise from July.  Notably, India signed an agreement with the Philippines for BrahMos Missile training worth USD 375 million in January 2022.
