Satya Pal Malik Summoned In Bribery Case

Assistant Sub-Inspector Arrested For Demanding Bribe In Assam

Assam's Directorate of Vigilance and anti-corruption caught Assistant Sub-Inspector Sabin Pal Das red-handed for demanding bribe, on August 7. The arrested took place after a complaint was filed at Matia police station, alleging that Das demanded bribe for mitigating pending cases. When the complainant found himself unable to pay the bribe, he filed a complaint. Further details are awaited.

NHAI Scam: CBI Court Refuses To Send Accused TP Singh To 5-Day CBI Remand

In the case of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) scam, a special CBI refused to send accused to further CBI remand. The court pronounced the order, stating that "no grounds for further remand exist". Hearing conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar's plea for transfer to any jail outside Delhi, the Supreme Court asked him to come clean on the payments he made to the jail officials. Reportedly, conman Sukesh paid around Rs 12.5 crore to the officials at Tihar and Rohini jails, to ensure his safety and protection. According to Sukesh's counsel, the payments were made by his associates outside the jail.

CBI Arrests Power Grid Corporation ED, 5 Tata Project Officials For Taking Bribe

The CBI registered a bribery case against Executive Director of Power Grid Corporation of India BS Jha and five officials of Tata Projects, including its Executive VP Deshraj Pathak and Assistant VP RN Singh. The five were arrested and will be produced before Panchkula court, for alleged illegal favour to the private company, after conducting raids in Ghaziabad, Noida, and Gurugram. CBI Arrests 3 Officials Of Indian Oil Corp Ltd For Demanding Bribe

CBI apprehended three officials of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in two separate cases of bribery. IOCL's General Manager NP Rodge and Chief Manager Manish Nandle were held for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh to execute an agreement of transfer of ownership of a retail outlet. CBI Arrests Police Sub-Inspector While Accepting Bribe: Delhi

In light of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2021, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on October 28, arrested a Delhi based Police Sub-Inspector accepting Rs 50,000 in bribe. The money was accepted from a person accused under the offence of attempt to commit culpable homicide, according to sources. The police official was arrested in a mall from the national capital and have been taken for enquiry, said reports.
