Heavy Rains In Gujarat Sweep Away Bridge In Panchol
The bridge linking Panchol and Kumbhiya villages in Tapi washed away due to torrential rains over Gujarat on July 10. Rains across the state pounded numerous regions, causing flood-like conditions in some areas. As the rescue operations progressed, 700 individuals were evacuated and brought to secure locations. 2 Died In Chhatra Bazar Bridge Collapse; CM Expresses Grief & Announces Ex-Gratia
As many as two persons were killed due to the collapse of the Old Chhatra Bazar Bridge in Cuttack. Expressing grief to the bereaved family, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announced an ex-gratia of Rs 3 lakh. Meanwhile, CM has directed the authority provide proper medical facilities to the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. In addition, an order of high level Revenue Divisional Commissioner inquiry in the matter.

Rajnath Singh Inaugrates 44 Bridges; BRO To Build 40-50 More in Ladakh
Union Minister Rajnath Singh on October 12 inaugurated 44 bridges constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across seven states and Union Territories. The Director General of BRO informed that the organisation will go three times its capacity this year and Ladakh will get about 40-50 bridges within a year. He further opined that this would fuel economic growth, improve tourism and help in movement of our forces.
