BSF Jawan And Assam Rifles Personnel Died In Encounter

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed and two Assam Rifles personnel injured in an encounter with suspected Kuki insurgents in Manipur's Serou. The exchange of fire between the two sides took place in a school in Serou area of Sugnu in Kakching district. A BSF official said suspected Kuki miscreants resorted to indiscriminate and heavy firing targeted at BSF troops deployed at the Serou Practical High School.

Jammu & Kashmir Security Recovers IED In Bandipora, Vehicular Movement Halted

In Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora region, the security forces launched a search operation and found Improvised Explosive Devices (IED.) The search was launched after the BSF shot down a drone in the Gurdaspur region. In regard to the findings of IED, the Jammu and Kashmir security officials halted vehicular movement on the Bandipora-Sapore road, as a precautionary measure. BSF Shot Down Pakistani Drone In Punjab's Gurdaspur

In Punjab's Gurdaspur, a drone, suspected to be from Pakistan has been shot down by the Border Security Force (BSF.) The security personnel, on October 14, witnessed a drone flying across the Pakistan-Punjab border in the Gurdaspur region. Immediately after the incident, the BSF cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. This is a developing story, details of the matter are awaited.

Packet With AK-47 Rifle Recovered Near International Border In Ferozepur

The Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab police recovered a fully wrapped packet with an AK-47 rifle near the International Border. The rifle is suspected to have come from Pakistan, and was found at a farm of a local farmer in Ferozepur. The packet contained “A1” written on it, indicating that other such supplies might exist. With this, the BSF is on a watch in the aforementioned area.

BSF Troops Fire At Pakistan Drone Near International Border In Punjab

BSF troops stationed near the International Border (IB) in Punjab, opened fire at a drone which possibly belonged to Pakistan. The drone not able to withstand shots, flew back into the territory of Pakistan. The incident occurred at around 5 pm, in the area of BSF’s Rosa Post BOP 89 Bn in Punjab’s Gurdaspur. A search is underway. Reportedly, such occurrences have increased in the past one year.

BSF Seizes 6.3 Kg Heroin Worth Rs 38 Crore From Pak-Based Smugglers

The officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a cross-border smuggling operation, and seized 6.370 Kgs of heroin. The incident in the village Muhar Jamsher, situated in Punjab’s Fazilka district. The Pakistan-based smugglers despite being shot, managed to flee in dark. In a similar incident, BSF officials seized Rs 22.65 crore worth heroin from Pakistan-based smugglers in Punjab’s Fazilka district.

Unidentified Flying Object Spotted By BSF At International Border: Jammu

BSF officials spotted an Unidentified Flying Object in the Kanacahk sector at Jammu's international border and fired at it, on August 1. According to the BSF officials, the object had blinking lights, and tried to cross the International Border (IB) at around 9:31 pm. Following the incident, the area is on high alert, and a search has been initiated. There have been various instances of drone spotted in the IB.

Drone Suspected In J&K Samba Region, Official Launches Search Operation

In Jammu and Kashmir's Samba region, along the International Border, the security forces spotted a drone.  Soon the security forces launched a massive cordon and search operation, on July 4. "We got information that there was some flying object hovering over the border hamlet Chilliyari in Samba last night.  It may have been a drone from across," said a police officer. Although BSF denied such claims.

Border Security Force Hosts Free Medical Camp In Poonch Of Jammu & Kashmir

The Border Security Force held a free medical clinic in the Balakot sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on July 2. Several physicians, gynaecologists, and paediatricians were on hand at the camp to care for patients. Numerous residents from the area came to the camp and applauded the decision. In the Kupwara area, BSF has previously launched a medical camp and community outreach programme.

BSF Shoots Pakistani Drone Spotted In Jammu & Kashmir's Arnia Sector

Border Security Force (BSF) officials in Jammu and Kashmir's Arnia sector shot at a drone seen near the international border on June 9. The drone was hovering roughly 300 metres in the sky. Officials stated this was Pakistani drone activity in Arnia and that similar actions had already been recorded.
