Indian president Droupadi Murmu met King Charles III during her visit to Buckingham palace on September 18. She also signed the condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II at Lancaster house in London. Ahead of the scheduled funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, president Murmu offered tributes to the late Queen at Westminster hall, where the coffin is placed. She is expected to return to India after the funeral on September 19.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision because doctors are "concerned for Her Majesty's health,". After being urged to rest and cancel a trip to Northern Ireland this week, Queen Elizabeth II spent a night in hospital. The hospitalization was for "practical reasons", Buckingham Palace stated on October 21 and did not specify which hospital or what tests were performed. The Queen, who is Britain's longest-serving monarch, returned back at her desk doing minor responsibilities on October 21 afternoon.
