Indian president Droupadi Murmu met King Charles III during her visit to Buckingham palace on September 18. She also signed the condolence book for Queen Elizabeth II at Lancaster house in London. Ahead of the scheduled funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, president Murmu offered tributes to the late Queen at Westminster hall, where the coffin is placed. She is expected to return to India after the funeral on September 19.

In the early morning hours of April 9, the Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness Prince Philip passed away peacefully in Windsor Castle.
