Kashmiri TV Actress Amreen Bhat Killed Outside Residence In Budgam By Terrorists

In Chadoora area of J&K's Budgam, two unidentified terrorists killed Kashmiri TV actress Amreen Bhat and left her 10-year-old nephew injured, on May 26. Reportedly, the men came to her house and called her for a shoot, when she stepped outside, they killed her. Her nephew sustained a bullet injury on his arm, and is being treated. Further details on the matter is awaited.

BJP Stages Protest In Srinagar Following Rahul Bhat's Killing: J&K

BJP workers staged a protest in J&K's Srinagar condemning the killing of Kashmiri pandit government employee Rahul Bhat. The protesters raised slogans with placards that read, "stop innocent killings". The Protestors then stated that "those protest is not only about Rahul Bhat, but all the innocent killings that took place in J&K". Rahul Bhai, an employee of Tehsil office in J&K's Budgam, was shot dead by terrorists.

Bomb Hurled Into Police Station In J&K's Badgam District

In Jammu and Kashmir's Badgam district, a hand grenade was allegedly hurled into a police station by militants, on April 19. The police reported that no injuries were caused due to the blast, since the bomb went off near the gate of the station. Following the incident, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been initiated.

Security Forces Arrest LeT Militant In Budgam: Jammu & Kashmir

1300 years old sculpture of goddess Durga

J&K Archaeologists Find 1,300 Year Old Sculpture Of Goddess Durga 

In the Khag area of Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam, the archaeologists discovered a 12*7 cm black stone sculpture of Goddess Durga sitting on a lion throne. The sculpture has been found to be 7th-8th AD or about 1300 years old, reported ANI. It has now been handed over to the Department of Archaeology, Kashmir for restoration. Reportedly, it will be set up in Srinagar's SPS Museum.

Kashmir Police Investigates Mysterious Death In Budgam

Kashmir Police registered cognizance case and started investigation of a mysterious death, on January 2. A 45-year-old carpenter identified as Rameez Ahmad Beigh was found dead in Budgam under mysterious circumstances, in an under construction building in Humhama area. He was rushed to SMHS hospital by his colleagues, where doctors declared him brought dead.

J&K: Security Forces Kill One Terrorist During Encounter in Budgam

The Jammu and Kashmir security forces killed one unidentified terrorist in an encounter at Chrar-i-Sharief area of Budgam, on September 22. Reportedly, the terrorists and the security forces were engaged in a gun fight since September 21 evening, which continued for over 12 hours.
