Transgender Buries Baby Girl Alive On Being Denied Gifts By Family
Mumbai police have arrested Kanhaiya Chaugule, a transgender, and his friend on July 9, who were accused of burring a three-year-old girl alive following a dispute with a family over gifts. Reportedly, Chaugule picked the girl in the wee hours of July 9 from the house in Mumbai's Ambedkar Nagar, following the family refused the gifts over the birth of the girl. However, the police have exhumed the body.

Rising Water Level In Ganga Unearths Dead Bodies In Uttar Pradesh
The oncoming monsoons have risen the water levels in Ganga, unearthing many dead bodies. The bodies have been witnessed floating in the river in UP's Prayagraj, a mark of the devastation brought about by the pandemic. Several videos recorded by local journalists & citizens showed bodies being fished out of the river, on June 23-24. However, it is speculated that the floating bodies are those of COVID-19 patients.

Himachal-based Hindu Man Buried In Saudi Arabia Over Consulate's Mistake
Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur has vowed to approach the External Affairs Ministry for procuring the remains of a native Hindu man who was wrongly buried in Saudi Arabia. The deceased, identified as Sanjeev Kumar, had died due to cardiac arrest. Reportedly, kumar was buried as per the Islamic customs after Indian Consulate's translator's error.
