Bizarre! Telangana Man Impersonate As TSRTC Driver, Takes Money From Passengers

In a bizarre incident, a person, pretending to be a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) driver, stole a bus from Siddipet bus station on Sunday night. He rode it, collected fares from passengers and fled midway when the bus ran out of fuel. Although the passengers grew suspicious due to reckless driving, but before they could react, the bus ran out of fuel, following which the man fled.

Assam Launches E-Ticket Services For State Run Buses

The Assam State Transport Corporation has launched its online bus e-ticketing service, starting from July 23, said ASRTC MD Rahul Chandra Das. The new service has been launched in Kamrup (Metropolitan) and Sonitpur districts in collaboration with Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON), as pilot project. The tickets for  Guwahati to Tezpur via Nagaon initially will be available at www.astcbus.com, and a  24/7 toll-free help… read-more

8-Year Old Sustained Injuries After School Bus Overturned: Punjab

In Hoshiarpur, Punjab, a major accident left an eight-year-old boy injured, confirmed police on July 14. Notably, a private school bus overturned near village Shergar after the school bus driver lost control over the vehicle. Of the 20 students in the bus, eight-year-old boy sustained injuries and is under observation for medical treatment. The police registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.

Bus Falls Into Deep Gorge In J&K's Udhampur, Leaves 2 Dead & 38 Other Injured

In Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur, a bus fell into a deep gorge in Keya Morh area killing two persons and leaving 38 other injured, on July 7. Following the incident, ambulances rushed to the spot, and 10 injured persons have been shifted to district hospital in Udhampur. Further details on the injured persons and the incident are still awaited.

Bus Accident Kills 3, Leaves 28 Injured In Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh's Alirapura, three persons were killed and 28 others got injured when the bus they were travelling in fell into the Melkhodra river, on January 2. The accident took at around 6 am near Chandpur village. Meanwhile, the bus was on its way from Gujrat's Chotta Udepur to Alirapura, said Manoj Kumar Singh, SP. Reportedly, doctors were directed to provide adequate medical support to the injured people.

32 Died, 20 Injured In Peru; Police Claims Reckless Driving

In a bizarre bus accident, 32 people died including two children, and as many as 20 were left injured after it fell off a cliff in Peru. However, the accident took place on August 31 carrying 63 people on board. According to survivors, the bus hit a rock and fell 650m off the road. Moreover, Police-commander Cesar Cervantes stated "recklessness" & "high speed" had a role in the tragedy.

Bus Collides With Tractor-trolley; 4 Died, Many Wounded: Haryana

Following a bus carrying 60 passengers rammed into a tractor-trolley, 4 travellers lost their lives and dozens got wounded on August 26 in Haryana's Bhiwani. Reportedly, the bus was on its way to Jhansi from Bhiwani and met with an accident while overtaking the trolley. The injured ones have been rushed to a hospital while the family of the deceased will get compensation as per the government guidelines, said Deputy Commissioner.

In a major mishap, a truck rammed into a double-decker bus in UP's Barabanki on July 28, killing 18 men and leaving 25 injured.
