Sajan Prakash Breaks Italy's Standard Record In International Swimming

Sajan Prakash has become the first Indian swimmer to clear the 'A' cut standard of International swimming with a record of 1:56.38 minutes in the 200m butterfly. The 27-year-old from Kerala is heading to the Tokyo Olympics after breaking Italy's standard record of 1:56.48 minutes. “We worked on gaining a centimetre of speed over each of his 79 strokes,” coach Pradeep Kumar explained.

Study Reveals Rise in Temperature Increases the Altitude of Moth and Butterfly Habitats

According to a study by Zoological Survey of India, there is a significant increase in the altitude at which butterflies and moths habitat, owing to an increase in temperature. The 4-year-long study on 1,274 species of moth and 484 species of butterflies revealed that 49 moth species and 17 butterfly species showed a 'difference of over 1,000m in habitats'. Survey also identified '80 new species', of moths and butterflies.
