Byju's Founder Raveendran Is Out Of Hurun Rich List 2023
Byju Raveendran, the founder of edtech startup Byju's, has been left off the latest Hurun India rich list, amid valuation markdowns faced by the company. Notably, Reliance Industries' Mukesh Ambani has reclaimed the title of the richest Indian, surpassing Gautam Adani, confirmed Hurun's list. The list, with exit of Byju's, came days after it was reported that online higher education platform Great Learning is looking to to buy Byju's.

Dream 11 To Sponsor Jersey Of Indian Cricket Squad: BCCI
Dream 11 replaced Byju's and become the sponsor for the jersey of the Indian Cricket Team. Notably, BYJU's had quit after the end of the last financial cycle and BCCI had invited closed bids for its new sponsor and Dream11, which is going to be the prominent finance investor for Jersey. "Yes, Dream11 will be the new jersey sponsor of the Indian team," said the BCCI in an official statement.

Byju's & Its Ambassador Shah Rukh Khan Asked To Return Student's Money
Madhya Pradesh district consumer court panel issued a notice to Byju's and its ambassador Shah Rukh Khan, to return money and pay compensation to students. Hearing the complaint of a woman Priyanka Dikshit, who said that she enrolled with the ed-tech platform to get coaching for IAS preparation, and had paid Rs 1.18 lakhs, but got no coaching from Byju's. She further said, despite promises, Byju's failed to refund fees.

Raids Carried Out At Byju's Premises Under FEMA
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at the Byju's, an ed-tech company, on April 29. As per sources, the searches carried out at the Byju's premises under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA.) Byju's Announces Acquisition Of 'Toppr', 'Great Learning'

Byju's Acquires US Based Digital Reading Platform 'Epic' For $500 Mn
In a bid to expand its presence in the USA's education market, Bangalore-based startup Byju's will acquire the digital reading platform "Epic" for $500 million. Epic is regarded as the world's largest digital reading platform for kids 12 and under, which hosts a million teachers and 50 million kids use the platform. Meanwhile, Byju's founder Raveendran said the expansion will ''hugely accelerate'' our revenue by March 2022.
