PM Narendra Modi campaigned for the BJP in Kanpur, on February 14. Amid the ongoing second phase elections, PM Modi addressed the rally and said, "Voting turnout in second phase in UP points at BJP returning to power again". Modi also hit out at opposition, calling their rule as "mafiagiri". He said that these "Parivaarvadis (opposition) want to give power to these mafias again and people should be alerted".
