Singer Toby Keith Diagnosed With Stomach Cancer, Hopes To Return To Stage Soon

Toby Keith, country music superstar, stated on June 12 that he has been fighting stomach cancer since the fall of last year, but has undergone treatment and will be back on stage soon. The singer indicated that he would like to spend time with his family, and would like to communicate with fans "sooner than later." His hits include "Red Solo Cup" and "I Wanna Talk About Me."

Clinical Test Confirms Cancer-Eradicating Medicine For 'First Time In History'

A clinical experiment found that after six months of using a medication, 12 individuals with rectal cancer had no symptoms of tumor. The medicine Dostarlimab was used in trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York. This is "the first time this has happened in the history of cancer," said Dr. Luis A. Diaz J., MSKCC. Researchers said the medicine seemed beneficial, but a larger-scale experiment is required.

Bihar To Set Up Chemotherapy Units With Centre's Help

Irrfan Khan's Wife Sang 'Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo' A Day Before His Demise

On the 55th birth anniversary of actor Irrfan Khan, his wife Sutapa Sikdar had revealed that a day before his demise she and her friends sung a song for Irrfan. Sutapa recalled the songs that she sang to Irrfan was "Lag ja Gale, Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo. He was unconscious but he had tears rolling down." Irrfan died on April 29, 2020, due to cancer in Mumbai.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who was famous for his struggle against white minority rule in South Africa, passed away at the age of 90, on December 26. The cause of his death was not revealed. However, Tutu was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the late 1990s and was also ailing due to the disease ever since. He was awarded Noble Peace Prize in 1984 for his non-violent protest against apartheid.
