Death Of 250 Dogs Due To 'Canine Parvovirus' Panics Bengal's Bankura
Bishnupur locals of West Bengal’s Bankura district. Reportedly, the dogs died suffering gastroenteritis caused by 'canine parvovirus', and majority of them were puppies. Notably, the highly contagious virus can be transmitted indirectly with faeces, but it cannot be transmitted to humans. Moreover, veterinarian doctors also suspect skipped vaccination of canines due to pandemic as the reason behind the spread of the parvovirus.
