CAPF, BSF & SSB To Sell Alcohol Online Following ITBP

Border guarding forces such as the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) are set to sell liquor online to their staff. Reportedly, the trial run for the same has been started. The system will be centralised, allowing CAPF staff to book liquor online and pick from other canteens. However, the Indio-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has already been selling liquor online.

Union Home Minister Announces Health Care Scheme For CAPF Jawans

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 23 announced the "Ayushman CAPF" healthcare scheme for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) jawans. The scheme aims to extend the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) to approximately 28 lakh personnel of the CAPF. Under this scheme, CAPF officers and their families can avail medical benefits at any CGHS empanelled private hospital in the country.

Shah Meets Kejriwal, Offers Centre's Help To Fight COVID-19 Surge In Delhi

To tackle surging COVID-19 cases in the capital, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 15 met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. After the meeting, Kejriwal said the Union government has assured to conduct 1-1.25 lakh tests per day and to provide 750 ICU beds at DRDO Centre. Shah tweeted that the government would double the RT-PCR tests as well as deploy paramedical crew from CAPF. Shah also stated about protocol for plasma donation.
