Iran Executes 3 Women In Single Day For Same Offence
Iran has executed three women in a single day, for charges of murdering their husbands, informed an NGO, on July 29. According to activists, cases of women killing their husbands have increased in the recent times. Most of these women have abusive husbands or were married off as child brides. In 2022, at least 10 women have been hanged in Iran for the same offence.

Delhi Court Gives Death Penalty To Ariz Khan In Batla House Encounter
Indian Mujahideen terrorist Ariz Khan has been awarded capital punishment by a Delhi court for his alleged role in the Batla House encounter case. Besides, the court fined him Rs 11 lakh, out of which Rs 10 lakh will be given to the family of deceased Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma. Reportedly, Mohan was killed while leading the operation. The court framed Ariz in an attempt to murder the case on March 8.

Shabnam Files Fresh Mercy Plea To President Kovind, UP Governor
Murder convict Shabnam has submitted a fresh mercy plea to President Ram Nath Kovind and UP Governor Anandiben Patel.
