Rohit Sharma Records 19 Consecutive Victories As Captain After Winning T20I Against England
Indian captain Rohit Sharma won his 19th consecutive men's international match as captain on July 9. Rohit achieved this achievement during Team India's 49-run triumph against England in the second T20I at Edgbaston. Rohit is now one win away from matching former Australia captain Ricky Ponting's total of 20 victories. With 14 victories as a captain, the skipper presently holds the record for most wins as a captain in T20Is.

Former Indian Hockey Captain Charanjit Singh Dies Of Cardiac Arrest
Legendary hockey player and former Indian captain Charanjit Singh, who represented India as captain in 1964 Tokyo Olympics gold medal-winning team, died on January 27 in Himachal Pradesh, after suffering a cardiac arrest, that followed prolonged illnesses. He was 90 years old, and was paralysed after suffering a stroke five years back. Singh is survived by two sons and one daughter. Reportedly, his last rites are yet to be performed.

Pakistan All-rounder Mohammad Hafiz To Retire From International Cricket
The 41-year-old veteran all-rounder and former captain of Pakistan cricket team, Mohammad Hafiz, who has signed up with Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League, is set to retire from international cricket. The top-order batter represented Pakistan in 392 international matches, in which he scored 12,789 runs and took 253 wickets. Hafeez has played 55 tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20s for the country.

MS Dhoni has become the first skipper to lead 300 matches in the T20 format on October 15. He triumphed the feat while leading Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League’s finale against Kolkata Knight Riders. Virat Kohli To Resign As RCB Captain After 2021 IPL
Indian batting ace Virat Kohli said on September 19 that he is planning to resign as the captain of Royal-Challengers Bangalore at the end of the current IPL season. The news comes after opting to leave the Indian T20 captaincy following the World Cup in October.
