Toyota Retains World's Largest Car-Maker Title
Toyota has become the world's largest "car-seller" for the second time in a row with an increase of 10.1% in vehicle sales. The Japanese car-maker has reportedly sold 10.5 million vehicles in 2021. Volkswagen sold 8.9 million vehicles in 2021, bagging the second spot. Volkswagen stated that the sales figures were affected due to a chip shortage the company faced owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
