World Leaders To Gather In Glasgow For Climate Summit
The heads of the world's biggest greenhouse gas emitters will gather in Glasgow for the COP26 climate summit, on October 31 to November 12. PM Modi along with other leaders will join the summit and take measures to reduce carbon emissions. However, Chinese President Xi Jinping will not be attending the summit due to rising Covid-19 cases in the country.

'Orca' World's Largest Plant To Clean Air Starts Work: Switzerland
To fight against climate change and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air, the world's largest plant named ''Orka or Energy'' has become operational on September 8. Reportedly, Orka is built by Switzerland's Climeworks and Iceland's Carbfix and reportedly turns carbon dioxide into rock. While running at its capacity, it can suck 4,000 tonnes of CO2 every year that is equal to the emission from about 870 cars.

BMW Group Invests In 'Boston Metal' For CO2- Free Steel Production
To promote a cleaner environment, BMW group is funding American startup 'Boston Metal' to create a method for CO2-free steel production.
