On February 21, AP Information Technology Minister Mekapati Goutham, 50-year-old, died due to a heart-attack. People With HIV More Likely To Have Cardiac Arrest: Study

The research, published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings, revealed that HIV-positive people are more likely to get die of cardiac arrest. "Cardiovascular disease has been an important concern for people with HIV for years," said Micheal J Silverberg, the study's senior author. His study reported that people with HIV are 68% more exposed to heart failures than others. However, the risk varies as per age, gender, race, and ethnicity.

Haryana Farmer Dies Due To Cardiac Arrest; Investigation Underway

Manoj Sharma, a 37-year-old farmer has died due to cardiac arrest near KFC mall at Singhu border on September 15. He belonged to Sonepat's Khanpur Kalan village, Haryana. The 37-year-old had been proactive during the November 2020 protest of farmers encircling Delhi outskirts. He also attended the Samyukt Kisan Morcha's maha-panchayat at Muzaffarnagar in UP. However, the police have filed a case under Section 174 of CrPc.

Wife Falsy Declares Husband Dead, Obtains Insurance Money

A man from Ahmedabad named Nimesh Marathi has filed a complaint to police that his wife has managed to declare him dead and obtained Rs 18 lakh insurance amount three years ago. However, the police have arrested Marathi's 45-year-old wife Nanada Marathi and the accused doctor Harikrushna Soni for falsy testifying. Reportedly, the doctor had declared the man to be dead due to cardiac arrest on March 6, 2019.

Virbhadra Singh, the 87-year-old Congress leader and six-time former CM of Himachal Pradesh died due to cardiac arrest on July 7 at Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla. Reportedly, he had been receiving treatment since April 13 and was put on ventilator support after he suffered a heart attack on July 5.
