6 Airbags To Be Mandatory In Eight-Seater Vehicles: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari
The government will require automakers to include at least six airbags in vehicles that can accommodate up to eight passengers, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. According to the minister, there are over five lakh accidents nationwide each year that result in the deaths of close to 1.5 lakh persons. He also disclosed that he will shortly launch Bharat NCAP, a new vehicle evaluation program for India.

Shooting At Car Show Leaves 10 Severely Injured In Arkansas: US
In a tragic incident, ten people were injured severely due to shooting at a car show, as per media reports. On March 19, the shooting took place in the city of Dumas, Arkansas. According to the police, "ten people were wounded by gunfire". Reportedly, highway patrol officers, troopers and investigators were sent to the scene immediately. CATL in China Launches Battery Swap Service For Electric Cars
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd in China, launched a battery swap service for electric vehicles. The service 'would allow' drivers to change batteries in car in just a minute. The stations, to swap battery, will be established in ten cities of China, while the service can be accessed through an app. The official said service allows drivers to swap out consumed battery block for freshly charged at its stations.

4 Masked Men Break Car Window And Steal Rs 3.90 Lakh From Dashboard: Nagpur
In Maharashtra's Nagpur, four masked robbers broke a car window and stole Rs 3.90 lakh from the car. Reportedly, the incident took place on November 9, in Wadi district. Sachin Ashok Mule (35), who ran a car decoration store in the neighboring Chandrapur district reportedly came to buy a new vehicle. Meanwhile, the four accused came and stole the money which was kept in the dashboard.

Tesla Passes Homologation Stage For Its Four Vehicles In India
Motor giant Tesla has managed to meet all the specified criteria to launch its vehicle in India. According to the report, four vehicles have been approved, Model 3 & Model Y have been witnessed taking trials on Indian roads. However, the launch date is not finalized as the negotiations on import duties are yet to be done with the government. Currently, India charges a 100% import duty on EVs.

Tata Motor’s Tigor EV has been launched on August 31, pricing from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 13.14 lakh. It is a battery-powered car available in two colour options. A total of 306 km can be covered by the car on a single charge. The car can be charged using a fast charger or 15A home socket. Moreover, EV generates 73.75 hp of power with 170Nm of torque.

Mahindra Launches SUV XUV700; Reveals Variants
In the replacement of XUV500, Mahindra has launched XUV700 at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh. It has completed all SUVs in terms of shape, size, and capabilities. The series of XUV700 provides a five and seven-seat variant with petrol and diesel-powered. The SUV also has four models namely MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7. There is a possibility of another model named AX7 (0), however, not yet been confirmed.
