Uttar Pardesh Reports Over 11K New Cases & 17 Deaths: COVID-19
The Uttar Pardesh has reported 17 deaths and 11,159 new cases, following which death toll reached to 23,073. In addition, the Coronavirus cases count reached to 19,57,839 in the state. However, 10,836 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours from the virus, taking overall tally of recoveries to 18,40,842. Notably, the count of active COVID-19 cases in the state currently stand at 93,924.

70% COVID Deaths In India Have Been Of Male Patients: Health Ministry Data
The Health Ministry's data on October 13 stated that about 70% COVID deaths in the country were of male patients. The data also revealed that 53% deceased COVID patients were above the age of 60 years. Reportedly, the overall fatality rate of those with comorbidities stood at 17.9%, and 1.2% for those without comorbidities. The ministry added that there was a "significant increase" in COVID testing in the country.

India's Covid-19 Fatality Rate Drops, 0.5% on Ventilators: Health Ministry
