A man allegedly opened fire after a dispute with a woman in which she had a narrow escape but her dog died, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place in Vijay Nagar locality when Kalpana Chaturvedi was walking her dog, they said. Police said she had some dispute with Arvind Verma Bhullan, a lawyer, who abused and threatened her. Bhullan then opened fire which killed the dog.
A video has surfaced on the internet showing an abduction attempt carried out by a group of men in UP's Bhadohi. The incident reportedly took place near the Pashchimi Trimuhani of Modh Chowki area in the city on Saturday early morning. The attempt of abduction was captured in a CCTV camera installed near the scene of the incident. However, the attempt failed and case is registered to nab the accused.
A woman (38) succumbed to multiple injuries after her husband (41) brutally assaulted her when she confronted him for molesting their daughter (17) in the night intervening Wednesday and Thursday in their home at Awhalwadi in Lonikand. The man kicked, punched and banged his wife's head against a wall. She was also beaten up with a stick. A case is registered, an investigation is underway.

A man was killed and another injured after unknown assailants opened fire at them in North Delhi's Bhajanpura area, the police said on Wednesday. According to the police, the incident took place around 11.37 pm on August 29. The deceased, identified as Harpreet Gill, was a resident of the Bhajanpura area, confirmed sources. Another injured is being treated at hospital. A case has been registered, and investigation is underway.
An offence has been registered against four employees of a hospital in Navi Mumbai for allegedly assaulting a woman contract worker at the facility, As per police, the case was registered under sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code for the incident that took place at a hospital.
In a shocking incident, a man, residing in Bengaluru, was arrested for allegedly killing his live-in partner by hitting her head with a pressure cooker in the Begur area. The deceased has been identified as Deva (24), a native of Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram and the accused was identified as Vaishnav who is a native of Kollam, Kerala. The couple were living together and were having issues, said police probing the matter.

In shocking news, a journalist of Dainik Jagran, Vimak Kumar Yadav is shot dead in the Araria district of Bihar, on August 18. Four assailants came riding on a bike and called him out of his house and shot him. Notably, in 2019, Vimal's brother was also murdered, and he was the witness. Indian actor Bala has been booked for allegedly threatening a YouTuber and his friend after trespassing into his apartment in this port city. As per the complaint, the actor barged into the apartment of Aju Alex, who posts videos on YouTube under the nickname 'Chekuthan', while he was away and threatened his friend Mohammed Abdul Khader on August 5. In Maharashtra's Thane region, a hookah parlour was raided by the local Police. The hookah parlour was functioning at Teen Haath Naka allegedly for past two years, which the police had no idea about. Around 13 customers along with staff were apprehended from the place operational near a college in Thane.
