Siliguri Dengue Cases Rise Rapidly, 101 Cases Registered So Far
In Siliguri, the dengue cases are rising rapidly, increasing concern to the concerned authority and people. So far, till August 31, there are 110 cases of Dengue were reported in the region. In order to control the spread of the disease, the authority even engaged Vector Control Teams (VCT) to ensure that the situation is under control in the town. The major reason behind dengue rise is the weather change.

Central Government Issues Monkeypox Guidelines
The Union Home Ministry issued guidelines for the recently viral monkeypox, in India. The guidelines, issued on July 27, include twenty-one days of isolation, wearing masks, following hand hygiene, and keeping lesions fully covered. Furthermore, as of now, there are four confirmed cases of monkeypox, including one in Delhi. The issued guidelines are for monkeypox-positive people, and those who came in contact with the positive ones.

SII Adar Poonawalla Speaks About Monkeypox Vaccine In India
As monkeypox cases are rising in India, the Serum Institute of India (SII) which manufactured the Covid-19 vaccine, spoke about the possibility of a monkeypox vaccine in India. SII CEO Adar Poonawalla said, "We are talking to Novovax. We really need to see whether there will be a lot of demand or whether in three to four months it fizzles out." Moreover, he ruled out manufacturing from scratch amid time issues.

India COVID-19 Cases Update: Reports 2,338 Cases With 19 Fatalities
India reported 2,338 new cases, taking the active cases tally to 17,883. On May 31, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 19 fatalities, taking the deceased tally to 5,24,630. In addition, with a 98.74% recovery rate, 4,26,15,574 people recovered till date. Dehradun School Declared Micro-Containment Zone Over Seven Covid Cases
A school in Dehradun has been declared a micro-containment zone over just seven Covid cases. Dr R Rajesh Kumar, the District Magistrate of Dehradun, stated, "This decision was taken after a report from the Chief Minister's Office." He has also directed the police to ensure barricades and security arrangements over these cases. On 5th May, the state of Uttarakhand only reported 23 Covid cases.

Daily Covid Cases Dip, Recovery Rate Currently At 98.74%
The daily Covid cases in India took another dip on 2nd May as the country recorded only 2,223 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. The Covid recovery rate currently stands at 98.74%. As many as 2,723 Covid patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries since the onset of the pandemic up to 4,25,38,976.

Delhi COVID-19 Cases Rise With 1,500 New Cases In 24 Hrs
With the constant rise in COVID-19 cases, Delhi currently has 5,250 active cases, including 1,500 fresh cases, reported in the past 24 hours. Furthermore, 1,070 people recovered and two people died due to the Coronavirus infection. With this, the national capital has 4.62% positivity rate and 26,172 death cases till date. The Delhi Health Ministry confirmed the COVID-19 data of the city on April 29, urging people to be cautious.

16 Illegal Wheat Transportation Cases Registered In Pakistan
At least 16 cases for illegal wheat transport to Sargodha City in Pakistan's Punjab province, were filed. According to the local media, a meeting was conducted by Commissioner Sargodha Nabil Javed on March 5 about the registration of the FIR. Notably, around 14,435 bags of 50 kgs wheat, each was sold at government rate. Furthermore, state magistrate also registered cases for over pricing of food grains.

Over 200 Cops In Maharastra Succumb To COVID-19 Infection: Report
As many as 265 Maharastra police personnel have succumbed to the COVID-19 infection so far, while there are 2,145 active cases in the state police. The highest number of COVID-related deaths, which is 126, has been recorded in state police personnel posted in Mumbai. Notably, Maharastra reported 46,723 new COVID cases, and out of this, 16,420 new cases were recorded in Mumbai.
