Assam Police Rescue 14 Cattle, Foil Smuggling Bid; 2 Arrested
The police of Assam foiled a cattle smuggling attempt in the Jorabat area and arrested two persons regarding the same, on October 5. The police reportedly intercepted a truck carrying cattle along the Assam-Meghalaya border. It was later found out that the truck was supposed to deliver the cattle from Morigaon district to Meghalaya’s Byrnihat. Furthermore, 14 cattle were recovered form their possession.

Assam Police Rescue 34 Cattle Heads From Smugglers
In Assam’s Nagaon district, the police foiled a smuggling attempt, and rescued 34 cattle heads from a bus, on October 1. This has come after the police received intel about the cattle smuggling near Kaliabor area, following which a checking was conducted. The driver and others fled the spot after seeing the police, and the police were able to rescue the cattle.

2010 Mangalkot Blast Case: Chargesheet Filed, TMC’s Anubrata Mondal Produced In Court
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’ close aide and senior TMC leader Anubrata Mondal has been produced before the MP/MLA court for his alleged connection in the 2010 Mangalkot blast case. The proceedings are set to being from September 2. Mondal has dismissed all charges against him, in connection to the case. Notably, Mondal also appeared before another court earlier, for his alleged connection with a cattle smuggling case.

Birbhum President Anubrata Mondal Sent To 10-Days Judicial Custody: CBI Court
The Bahubali of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Anubrata Mondal has been sent to the 10-day judicial custody to the CBI, till August 20. The developments came after, Mondal was produced before a special CBI court in Asansol, which ordered police custody. Notably, the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) Birbhum district president Anubrata Mandal in connection with a cattle smuggling scam.

Female Cop Mailed To Death By Vehicle In Jharkhand's Ranchi
Sandhya Topno, a female Sub-Inspector of police in Jharkhand's Ranchi, was allegedly mauled to death during a vehicle check. According to Ranchi's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kaushal Kishore, Topno after recieving information of a vehicle transporting cattles, tried to intercept it. The driver deliberately dashed her, and she was declared dead in the hospital. Reportedly, the vehicle has been seized, and the driver is arrested.
