SC Criticises Centre Over Negligence Towards Cauvery Water Dispute

The Supreme Court on April 8 criticised the Centre for failing to propose a water sharing scheme in the Cauvery dispute. Calling it a "sheer contempt" of its direction, the court asked the Water Resources Ministry to furnish Cauvery Management draft on May 14. However, the Centre said it could not met the parties concerned: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry (UT), due to the ongoing Karnataka Assembly polls campaigning.

Karnataka CM Yediyurappa Resents Tamil Nadu's Cauvery Linking Project

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa expressed his displeasure over his Tamil Nadu counterpart K Palaniswami's latest project linking Vellar-Vaigai-Gundar rivers with Cauvery.
