Manish Sisodia To Be Grilled In Delhi Excise Policy Scam, Heavy Security Deployed

Ahead of the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) questioning of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the Delhi Police deployed heavy security including a four-layer barricade and Rapid Action Force (RAF.) On February 26, Manish Sisodia would appear before the CBI in the ongoing Delhi Excise Policy Scam. The central agency has made a thorough list of questions. Furthermore, Sisodia is expected to reach the CBI office at Lodhi Road, at 11 am.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar Assures CBI Probe: Sonali Phogat Death Case

Highlighting the recent development in the Sonali Phogat death case, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar assured a CBI probe. On August 27, the Khattar-led government said, they would write to the Goa government seeking a CBI probe in the death of 42-year-old BJP MLA and actor Phogat. The announcement came after Sonali Phogat's family members met with the Haryana CM at his residence. "We will get justice," said Phogat's brother.

SC Reviews TN Teenage Suicide Case, Refuses Stay Order On CBI Probe

The Supreme Court, on February 14, heard a plea challenging Tamil Nadu HC decision in Tamil Nadu teen's suicide case. However, the SC refused to grant stay order on CBI probe, asking police not to make it a "prestige issue". Notably, a 17-year-old, died consuming poison, after she was allegedly forces to convert to Christianity. On January 31, the Madras HC reviewed the matter and transferred the case to CBI.
