Crime Branch Police Arrests 'Kingpin' Of Cocaine Trade In Bengaluru

The Central Crime Branch Police has arrested a Nigerian national Chidiebere Ambrose, who has been dubbed as "The kingpin" of Bangalore cocaine business. After a month-long lookout, the police arrested him from Banasawadi in east Bangalore. Bengaluru Riots: CCB Hints of Former Mayor's Involvement 

According to Central Crime Branch, former Mayor of Bangalore, Sampath Raj was involved in the violence that took place in the city on August 11. Reportedly, a police officer has confirmed that the accused knew about the violence but had failed to alert the police. The police have so far arrested 421 people in connection with the case and National Investigation Agency has also managed to arrest the key suspect in the case.

Actress Ragini Dwivedi Sent to Judicial Custody in Sandalwood Drug Case

The First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court on September 14 ordered a judicial custody of 14 days for Ragini Dwivedi and four others for their alleged involvement in drug racket. Other accused including Sanjjanaa Galrani will continue to be in CCB custody for three more days. Ragini, Niyas, Loom Pepper, Prashanth Ranka, and Rahul were moved to the Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara late in the evening of September 14.

CCB Enquiry Reveals Exclusive Apartments Reserved for Drug parties: Bangalore

Central Crime Branch said, the accused in the drug racket case have revealed that few apartments in Bangalore were exclusively being used to run drug parties and after-parties. A police officer said, "We will take the accused to these flats for further investigation." Reportedly, these parties were restricted to few selected people and the information regarding the venue were kept hidden till the last minute, to evade police.

FIR Against Vivek Oberoi's Brother-in-Law in Sandalwood Drug Case

The Central Crime Branch has filed an FIR against 12 people in connection with a drug racket in the Kannada Film Industry. The list included Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law Aditya Alva as well. Kannada Actress Ragini Dwivedi Arrested in Connection with Drug Scandal

Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi on September 4 was arrested by the Central Crime Branch for her alleged involvement in a drug scandal. According to sources, the actress has been arrested after police found ganja-filled cigarettes during the raid conducted at her house. So far, four people have been arrested in the drug scandal case in the Kannada film industry. Narcotics Control Bureau had recently busted a drug racket in Bangalore.

CCB Conducts Searches at SDPI Offices in Connection to Bangalore Violence

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bangalore Police department carried out search operations at three offices of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). The offices located at DJ Halli, KG Halli, and Halsurgate were searched, owing to their connection with the violence that broke out on August 11. So far, at least 415 people have been arrested in relation to the case.
