BSF Jawan Caught Assaulting Woman In Grocery Store In Manipur
A head constable of the Border Security Force (BSF), caught sexually assaulting a woman on camera inside a grocery store in ethnic strife-torn Manipur last week, has been suspended by the border guarding force. A case has been filed against him. The footage from a CCTV camera inside the store shared widely on social media, in which constable Satish Prasad was assaulting a woman.

Hyderabad: 4 Year Old Mauled To Death By Stray Dogs
In Hyderabad, a four-year-old was mauled to death by a stray dog. In a video captured by CCTV, the boy was seen walking on the street, when three stray dogs come running and pinned him down. The minor sustained serious stomach injuries and died on his way to the hospital. The father of the victim works as a watchman. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.

Delhi Man Hit By Truck And Receives Injuries, Police Registers FIR
In Delhi, a 22-year-old identified as Papay was injured after being hit by a truck in northwest Delhi's Aman-Vihar area, confirmed police on July 26. The victim is being treated at the Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, amid severe injuries. The Delhi Police registered a case against the truck driver, after the injured's complaint, under sections 279 and 337 of the IPC. Furthermore, police are scanning CCTV to search for the accused.

Delhi Police Cracks Builder's Murder Case
The Delhi police has cracked builder Ram Kishore Agrawal's murder case. The victim's body had been found at his home a few days back. He had been attacked with a sharp-edged object. Thanks to CCTV footage and a Delhi Metro Smart Card, the Delhi police has nabbed two juveniles, who committed this cold-blooded murder. Robbery is suspected to be the motive behind the crime.

2 Lionesses Lose Against 1 Bull In Gujarat; Video Surfaces
On the internet, a bull is going viral for saving his life from two young lionesses by scaring them off using its horns. Reportedly, the incident was recorded in CCTV footage in Mota Hadmaiya village of Gujarat's Junagadh. It was shared on Facebook. 'Bat-Sense' To Catch Burglars Without Usage of CCTV Cameras
Researchers from Glasgow University have developed a 'bat-sense" algorithm, eyeing to help catch burglars while also assisting in monitoring patients without the help of CCTV cameras. The algorithm calculates the time taken by bounced signal waves while analysing the object's shape and size, thereby converting the data into 3D images. Interestingly, the concept is similar to that of bats who use echolocation to hunt prey.

SC Orders Installation Of CCTVs At Police Stations, Investigating Agencies
In order to prevent custodial torture, all law enforcement agencies of the Centre, including the CBI and NIA, and the states are instructed to install CCTV cameras. The Supreme Court-pronounced order mandated that the CCTVs must be capable to 'capture audio' and 'record footage in the dark', while the recorded data must be available for at least 12 months. The court also asked to set up human rights courts in every district.
