SC To Hear Plea Advocating Caste-Wise Census For Backward Classes

Aimed at bringing efficient budgetary allocation, the plea sought to exclude ‘creamy layer’ and non-backward classes from the particular caste. Moreover, stating that the Census does not include a backward class column, the plea mentioned the government's plight in allocating funds.
