The Congress on August 26, claimed that the government issued emergency orders to Twitter, now called X, to block the video of Muzaffarnagar's Neha Public School where a teacher asked Hindu students to slap a Muslim kid. Amid the rising prices of tomatoes in India, the BJP-led Central Government came up with a plan to help the common man. On July 12, the Centre directed cooperatives NAFED and NCCF to procure tomatoes from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra for distribution in major consumption centres. The distribution is said to be done in regions where the prices of tomatoes are skyrocketing. Notably, in Indian states, tomatoes are Rs.200/kgs. 

In a relief to the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Government, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the Central Government.  On July 10, the Apex Court reviewed the plea against the ordinance passed seeking control of services by the Delhi Government. In the notice, the SC bench asked the Central Government led by the BJP to file a reply, explaining their stand on the ordinance in Delhi.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert for "severe cyclone" Biparjoy. With high speed, the cyclone which is the longest-lasting is approaching the coastal region of Gujarat.
