New Parliament To Be Constructed By Dec, Says Union Minister Hardeep Puri
Union minister Hardeep Puri told the media on September 16 at the inauguration ceremony that the construction of new Parliament premises is expected to be completed by December 2021. Parliament is likely to host winter session at the renovated place. The Centre is planning to organize the 2022 Republic Day parade at the New Avenue. The Central Vista project includes a triangular Parliament building, a common central secretariat and more.

Delhi HC Rejects Plea Seeking Halt On Central Vista Project Construction
Imposing a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the petitioner, the Delhi High Court on May 31 rejected a plea seeking a halt on the construction activities under the Central Vista project. The court termed the petition as a "motivated plea and not a PIL". The plea mentioned the construction of a new Parliament House, new residential spaces for PM and Vice-President amidst the pandemic as a "non-essential" activity.

New Parliament Complex To Have Parking Space For 16,000 Vehicles
The new Parliament complex will have the parking capacity of nearly 16,000 vehicles without congestion in traffic, according to the Central Vista project's consultant company.
