Crocodile Swallows 10-Year-Old Boy While Bathing In Chambal River, MP

A crocodile swallowed a 10-year-old child while bathing in the Chambal river in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh on July 11. Locals notified his family instantly and captured the crocodile. An alligator department team and a police squad arrived on the scene and attempted to rescue the crocodile from people. However, the boy's family refused, hoping the boy would be alive in the crocodile's stomach but people released the crocodile later on.

Cable-stayed Bridge Worth Rs 214 Cr Across Chambal River Constructed In Rajasthan, Says Nitin Gadkari

In Rajasthan, a cable-stayed bridge across the Chambal river on Kota bypass on NH 75 of East-West corridor has been completed. Union minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, made the announcement and credited PM Modi for "working round the clock to enhance infrastructure in our country". Reportedly, the bridge was constructed entirely with capital expenditure (CAPEX) worth Rs 214 crore.
