The Uttrakhand Magistrate imposed section 144 of the CrPC, in Chamoli district of the State. Rescue Team Shoots A Bear In Personal Safety In Uttarakhand

The officials of the forest department of Uttarakhand's Chamoli shot a bear dead during a rescue operation after it attacked five personnel on September 22. Reportedly, the department launched the operation following the locals of Chamoli's Joshimath area complained about a bear roaming in the area. The department said, ''they tried to catch the bear by throwing a net. However, the bear attacked the team.''

Earthquake Of 4.6 Magnitude Hits Chamoli District: Uttarakhand

Earthquake hits Joshimath city in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand on Sept 11 at around 5:58 AM. The city was hit with a magnitude of 4.6 on Richter's scale, at a depth of 5km. According to the National Center of Seismology's report, the epicenter of the quake was located 31km southwest of Joshimath. However, India, Nepal & China were among the affected countries.

Mild Earthquake Rattles Uttarakhand's Chamoli, No Casualties Reported

The Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district along with adjacent areas faced a minor earthquake on May 24 at 12:01AM. Glacier Bursts In Uttarakhand's Niti Valley; No Loss Of Life 

A glacier burst has been reported in the Sumna area of Niti Valley near the India–China border in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on April 23. Chamoli district disaster management officer N K Joshi said, “There is no information about any loss of life so far. There is no village habitation in Sumna area."
