Protest Against "Objectional Video Leak' Continues At Chandigarh University

In Mohali, protests continued in Chandigarh University over the alleged 'leaked objectional videos', by a girl. On September 19, the Deputy Inspector General of Police GS Bhullar spoke to the protesting students and tried to pacify them saying "implicit faith is necessary" and "law is being followed". The DIG said, "We will keep coming to you, implicit faith is necessary". The police also dismissed the suicide rumours.

Rajnath Singh Launches Space Science & Technology Centre: Chandigarh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Kalpana Chawla Centre for Research in Space Science and Technolgy in Chandigarh University, on January 3. Reportedly, it will help to train students who are interested in space science and satellite development. Meanwhile, Singh said that India so far sent 342 satellites in space for 34 countries. He added that the ISRO also earned Rs 5,600 crore by launching missions over three years.
