Chandradhar Das

Struggling to assert Indian citizenship, 104-year-old Chandradhar Das from Assam’s Cachar District passed away on December 13. Chandradhar, who was declared ‘foreigner’ by the Foreigners’ Tribunal, hoped to receive citizenship through the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019.
