Chandrashekhar Bawankule Appointed As BJP Chief In Maharashtra

After the change of government in Maharashtra, the BJP announced former minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule as the State BJP unit chief. BJP's Chandrashekhar Bawankule Wins Nagpur MLC Seat: Maharashtra

The BJP MLC candidate Chandrashekhar Bawankule won the state legislative council election from Nagpur. He defeated Mangesh Deshmukh, a Congress-backed independent candidate on December 14. In the first round of votes counting, Bawankule got 362 votes while Deshmukh received 186 votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Ravindra Bhoyar got one vote. Besides, the BJP and Shiv Sena bagged one seat each in Mumbai. As many as 549 votes were declared valid.
