Ola To Provide Free Charging For 2-Wheelers Till June 2022

Ola will start the operation of its hypercharger network for electric two-wheelers across India in six to eight weeks, announced Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal on Twitter. He added that we'll install 4,000+ charging stations in the coming year. Reportedly, the service will be available ''at key BPCL pumps as well as residential complexes''. Furthermore, he revealed that the service will be free for all customers till the end of June 2022.

Himachal Pradesh's Kaza Gets World's Highest EV Charging Station

The world's highest electric vehicle charging station was inaugurated in Himachal Pradesh's Lahul and Spiti district on September 23. The station is situated at 500 ft in Lahul and Spiti's Kaza area. Talking about the inauguration, Kaza's SDM, Mahendra Pratap Singh said, ''If the station gets a good response, more station would be set up.'' BMC Inaugurates Maharashtra's First EV Charging Station

Aaditya Thackeray, the Environment Minister of Maharashtra, inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station where "seven EVs can be charged" simultaneously at a public parking lot in Mumbai's Dadar on August 17. This is the first EV station set up by the BMC, where four chargers will only take 1.5 hours to charge. Meanwhile, Thackeray said, ''It's necessary to give priority to start charging stations.''

10% Of Newly Registered Vehicles To Be EVs By 2025: Maharashtra

To combat climate change, the Maharashtra government has drafted a revised policy for electric vehicles (EV) in the state. Under the policy, 10% of the newly registered will be modified to EVs by 2025 in major cities. Moreover, 1500 charging stations will be positioned in Mumbai. Notably,15% of MSRTC buses will also be converted into EVs. Additionally, all EVs will be spared from road tax and registration fees.
