In Maharashtra, Suresh Malkani (73,) the president of the Vivekananda Education Society (VES), Chembur, filed a complaint against Vishwak Enterprises owner Rahul Chite, in Dombivali for allegedly cheating him of Rs 10 lakhs. Chess champion Magnus Carlsen, who became news headlines for his behaviour of leaving a virtual match in between, has now accused his contender Hans Niemann of cheating. Sathish Sivalingam, two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist, urged young athletes to avoid cheating in their quest for achievement on June 5. The 29-year-old shared experiences from his path as a champion weightlifter with contestants at a Khelo India Youth Games anti-doping workshop. He emphasized how small errors can lead to severe outcomes in the event of food or beverage contamination. 

Two medical students were caught allegedly trying to cheat with a Bluetooth device surgically implanted in their ear while taking an exam, in Indore. In addition, a "flying squad" of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya caught them in the final year exam at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College. Notably, one student had hidden a device with SIM in his vest, while another had a cell phone through which he made calls.
