Massive Fire Breaks Out At Chemical Plant In Mohali, 5 Injured

In Punjab's Mohali region, a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory, on September 27. According to reports, at least 5 workers were injured in the blaze, while many are feared to have faced burn injuries. Out of the injured, two have been admitted to Mohali Civil Hospital and three to nearby Civil Hospital. More than 20 fire tenders from the Mohali and Ropar districts rushed to the spot.

Hapur Factory Blast Death Toll Rises To 13, FIR Against Factory Owner, Director

The number of fatalities in the chemical factory explosion in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, increased to 13 on June 5. Two people have been charged with culpable homicide in connection with the case. The cause of the explosion will be determined after the Forensic Science Laboratory investigation is completed. As per the initial investigation, 33 people were present at the plant at the time of the occurrence.

A fire broke out at Polychem Private limited located at plot number 775 in TTC MIDC, Navi, Mumbai. Reportedly, at least four industrial units were gutted in the fire. MIDC and other stations received the fire call around 3:10 pm, and over 15 fire engines were entrusted to douse the fire. As per sources, a body of a 50-year-old man was found, and another person has been trapped inside alive.

In a tragic incident, a blast that triggered fire in a chemical factory in Gujarat's Bharuch district, claimed the lives of six workers, on April 11. The incidents occurred at around 3 AM, in Dahej Industrial Area, which is situated about 235 km from Ahmedabad. According to Superintendent of Police Leena Patil, the six workers died working near a reactor, which blasted during solvent distillation process.

17 Killed In Karachi Chemical Factory Fire

A fire broke out at Karachi's Mehran Town chemical factory on the night of August 27 leaving at least 17 people dead. The bodies were taken to Jinnah hospital. Two firefighters were also injured during the rescue operation. "We have not received any word regarding any more people being trapped inside," Deputy Commissioner Korangi Samiullah Odho said. The cause of the fire is still known.
