Gaikwad Becomes Joint-fastest To Score 1000 Runs, Equals To Tendulkar's Record
CSK opening batsman Rituraj Gaikwad reached match number 46 of the IPL 2022, between CSK and SRH, becoming the joint-fastest Indian to score 1000 runs. It is a new record in the history of IPL, equal to Sachin Tendulkar's record.Gaikwad scored 99 off 57, powered six sixes and many fours, securing a successful win against SRH. The match was held at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) became the first sports unicorn in India. The team shares owned by the CSK Cricket Limited, capped Rs 7,600 crore, more than parent entity. Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been slapped with Rs 12-lakh fine for a slow over-rate against Delhi Capitals on April 10. Interestingly, this was the team's first offence under the Indian Premier League's Code of Conduct. CSK also suffered a seven-wicket defeat from Delhi Capitals in its IPL 2021 opener. Uttar Pradesh's Pacer Sudeep Tyagi Retires From Cricket At 33
Uttar Pradesh's cricketer Sudeep Tyagi (33) announced his retirement on November 17. The right-arm fast bowler debuted in ODIs in 2009 and later went on to feature in 4 ODIs and 1 T20I, with his last game for India being in 2010 against South Africa.
