Cheque Bounce Case: 1-Yr Imprisonment Given To Actor Sarath, His Wife
Actor-politician Sarath Kumar and his wife Radhika have been sentenced to one-year imprisonment, in each of seven cheque bounce cases. Chennai’s special court for MPs and MLAs also asked the couple to pay Rs 3.33 crore as compensation to the complainants. SC Forms Panel Seeking Steps For Quick Disposal Of Cheque Bounce Cases
To expedite the disposal of cheque bounce cases in the country, the Supreme Court on March 10 commissioned a committee headed by a former Bombay High Court judge to frame a report within three months.
