44th Chess Olympiad To Be Held In Chennai, India From July 28 To August 10
Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju on June 20 said hosting the 44th Chess Olympiad is a tremendous opportunity for India and that the torch relay ignition would take place in India every two years. India is hosting the Chess Olympiad for the first time. The event will include about 2000 participants from 188 nations. It will be conducted in Chennai from July 28 to August 10.

PM Modi To Launch India's First Torch Relay Ahead Of 44th Chess Olympiad
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch India first Torch-Relay ahead of the 44th Chess Olympiad on June 10. The historic event will cover 75 locations in India, starting from New Delhi to Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu, also the venue of the Chess Olympiad. Notably, the 44th Chess Olympiad is set to begin from July 28 to August 10, with a world-record of 343 teams from 187 countries.
