Kolkata: Police Rescue 21 Bihar Minor Boys from Traffickers
On September 7, the Kolkata Police acting on a tip-off from Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA), rescued 21 under-16 boys from traffickers. The minors were rescued from a bus at 5:30 am at the Babughat bus stand on Strand Road in South Kolkata. The police stated that "the boys were all residents of Samastipur in Bihar. We have arrested three persons". Further investigation on the matter is underway.

Lady Attempts to Sell Her Baby for Rs 45,000: Hyderabad
Shaikh Zoya (22), mother of a 2-month-old, was arrested, after she tried to sell her baby. According to the Habeebnagar police of Hyderabad, she wanted to sell her infant for Rs 45,000 to be able to travel to mumbai, and fulfill her dreams. The police have saved the baby and handed him over to the father. Reportedly, Zoya after a fight with her husband, was living alone.
