Suzuki Motor Gujarat To Scale Down Production Amid Chip Shortage

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has reported that Japan's 100% subsidiary corporation, Suzuki Motors Gujarat (SMG) will cut down on its production for August as the Ahmedabad-based manufacturing plant is subjected to semiconductor chip shortage. "Owing to the semiconductor shortage production will be partially impacted in this month," MSI said. Reportedly, production will be halted tentatively on August 7, 14, and 21 this month.

Audi Makes World Record Deliveries Despite Chip Shortage

The shortage of semiconductor chips has hit many industries including automobiles globally but even so, the Audi group instead of getting succumbed to the situation delivered as many as 981,681 units of vehicles across the world until July 2021. This is their highest ever delivered number of units. Due to the increased demand and successful sales performance, Audi reported a revenue of 29.2 billion Euros for the year 2021.
