The 'Men in Black' actor has been paying the price for slapping comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars over a joke. He has also been banned from attending the Oscars for a whole decade. Recently, Rock's mother also publicly opened up on the now-infamous incident.

'When You Hurt My Child, You Hurt Me': Chris Rock's Mother Speaks Out
Around a month after the infamous Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars incident, Rock's mother is finally speaking out. Rose Rock has shared that her son is still processing the incident. Commenting on the Will Smith's slap incident, she said, "When you hurt my child, you hurt me." She further stated that she feels very proud of the way her son Chris, handled the situation.

Chris Rock Still Processing Will Smith's Slap At Oscars 2022
During a stand-up show in Boston, Chris Rock said, "I don't have a bunch of shit about what happened, so if you come to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend, and I'm still kind of processing what happened". He further assured to talk about the incident, saying, "It'll be serious and it'll be funny". Meanwhile, after the slap incident, Smith officially apologized through Instagram.
