Rs. 2000 Note Withdrawn From September 31
RBI issued a circular stating, the Rs 2000 note will continue to be withdrawn from denomination in effect from September 30. The bank also asked the state banks and other banks to exchange the notes of Rs 2,000 denomination until September 30. The sudden announcement would create panic amongst people, who will now rush to exchange their notes. Notably, at a time only Rs 20,000 could be exchanged at banks.

BMC Waives Off Charges For Ganpati Mandal After State Govt Direction, Issues Circular
The BMC issued a circular, waiving all charges for Ganpati mandals, on July 23. The civic body will also return any charges, if collected from any mandal for the celebration of Ganpati Puja, in 2022. The circular came after the newly formed Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra Government lifted all restrictions for the upcoming Ganeshotsav. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Appoints Rahul Shewale As Shiv Sena Leader In Lower House
The Lok Sabha Secretariat released an official circular indicating the Shiv Sena Party's change in leadership in the Lok Sabha on July 19. Rahul Shewale will now be the Shiv Sena's House leader. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla agreed to the Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde faction's demand to alter the party leader in the House. According to sources, Bhavana Gawali has been retained as Chief Whip.
