SC Denies 'Hybrid Mode' Plea For Class 10 & 12 CBSE, CISCE Exams

The Supreme Court on November 18, refused to provide a "hybrid mode", for the class 10 and 12 examinations, stating that it is better to not "disturb the process" at this stage. The apex court confirmed that CBSE term one board exams have commenced from November 16, while CISCE board exams will commence from November 22. Also, the CBSE offline examination centres have been increased from 6,500 to 15,000.

After CBSE, CISCE Cancels Class 12 Board Examinations

Owing to the current COVID-19 scenario in the country, the Council of Indian School of Certification Exams (CISCE) has announced the cancellation of ISC class 12th board examinations. The board is likely to announce the evaluation criteria soon. Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced the cancelling the class 12th board exams after a high-level meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi on June 1.

ICSE Cancels Class 10 Board Exams, Defers Schedule Of Grade 12

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has followed the CBSE's footsteps as it also cancelled the class X examination, which was scheduled from May 4. CISCE Chief Executive Gerry Arathoon has even ordered the affiliated schools to begin class XI admission processes and online class schedule at the earliest. Meanwhile, class XII examinations remains postponed until the further notice.
