CISF Constable Opens Fire At Colleagues In Kolkata; 1 Dead & 1 Injured
A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel opened fire at his colleagues, leaving one dead and another injured, on August 6. The incident occurred in the Indian Museum of CISF Barrack, situated at Kolkata's Park Street, when head constable AK Mishra opened fire with his AK 47 rifle, killing Assistant Sub-Inspector Ranjit Kumar Sarani, and injuring Assistant Commandant Suvir Ghosh. Following the incident, Mishra has been nabbed.

CISF Detained 4 Passengers With International Currency Worth Rs 59 Lakh, Investigation Underway
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) detained four people and seized foreign currency worth Rs 59 lakh at the Delhi international airport, confirmed police on June 30. As per sources, 2,19,740 Saudi Riyals and USD 15,200 worth about Rs 59 lakh was recovered from a tiffin-box in the name of passengers, travelling from Delhi to Dubai. The four were later handed over to customs officials and a detailed investigation is underway.

Security Strengthened At Bengaluru Airport Following A Bomb Threat
After a bomb threat was received at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on the morning of May 16, surveillance was increased. The authorities are investigating the information. After the threat call, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force, and the dog squad conducted a search. More information will be released later, according to authorities.

Women Jumps Off 40-Feet Elevated Ground; Rescued By CISF Officials
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on April 14, saved a young woman who jumped from the 40-feet elevated ground in Akshardham Metro station, in an attempt to kill herself. Reportedly, the personnel tried to dissuade the woman first. Upon failure, stretched a blanket in an attempt to catch her. Due to the severity of the fall, she sustained severe injuries, said an official. However, her life has been saved.

1 Held For Attempting To Board Paris Flight With Fake Visa: Delhi
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel apprehended a man by the name Sushil Kumar who tried to board a plane with a "forged" visa, on March 23. The incident took place in the Terminal III of Indira Gandhi International Airport when the man reportedly created suspicion with the manner he was moving. Kumar attempted to board an Air India flight to Paris. He was then handed over to Delhi police.

A Man Detained For Concealing Gold Paste In Rectum By CISF At Imphal Airport
The CISF detained Mohammed Shereef at the Manipur's Imphal Airport, on September 27, for concealing gold paste weighing over 900 gm and worth Rs 42 lakh in his rectum. The CISF officers brought him to the Medical Examination Room for an X-Ray of his lower body after becoming suspicious of his behaviour and responses. The X-Ray revealed hidden metallic objects within his body cavities.

West Bengal Elections: CISF Personnel Open Fires Killing Four During The 4th Phase Polls
A Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) personnel opened fire and killed four people in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district on April 10.
