Amid a massive political slugfest over Udhayanidhi Stalin's ‘Sanatana Dharma’ remarks, a group of 262 eminent citizens, including former bureaucrats, judges and Army veterans, on Tuesday wrote to the Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud urging him to take suo moto cognisance of the alleged hate speech made by the Tamil Nadu minister that, according to them, “could incite communal disharmony and sectarian violence”.

Amid the worst economic crisis, the Pakistan Government announced hike in fuel prices for citizens.  In effect from February 16, citizens will pay PKR 272/litre for petrol, while diesel will cost PKR 280/litre. PM Narendra Modi urged Indians to watch Hindi show "Swaraj" in his radio show, "Mann Ki Baat". On August 28, the 92nd episode of the radio show, Modi Ji said, the show is like awareness to those freedom struggle fighters who contributed for Independence of India. During the show, PM Modi also urged students to come up with such shows at their respective institutions.

Boiled with anger, citizens of Sri Lanka gathered at the Country's main business district and protested against the Sri Lankan government, on April 10. The people demanded the resignation of the Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who has been blamed for the worst economic crisis, the nation is facing.  Placards and slogans raised by the angry citizens read, Go home Rajapaksas" and "We need responsible leadership".

Nitin Raut, the Maharashtra Energy Minister Nitin Raut, on February 27, ordered a high level inquiry in 18 hours long power outage in Mumbai.  After 2008, this was longest power failure in Mumbai, putting Mumbai people in trouble. "I have taken this matter very seriously and have ordered a high-level inquiry into the matter. Appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty in this inquiry", said Raut.
