In Siliguri, the dengue cases are rising rapidly, increasing concern to the concerned authority and people. So far, till August 31, there are 110 cases of Dengue were reported in the region. In order to control the spread of the disease, the authority even engaged Vector Control Teams (VCT) to ensure that the situation is under control in the town. The major reason behind dengue rise is the weather change.

Amid the growing population, close to 3 lakhs in Maharashtra's Badlapur, the Kulgaon Badlapur municipal council demanded for intercity bus services in this jurisdiction. To provide medical assistance to stray animals, the New Delhi Municipal Committee (NDMC) launched an ambulance service on August 19 in Delhi. North Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said that the ambulance also includes a hydraulic system for comfortably uploading the animals and a melodious tunes system to keep calm the animal. The six zones of the civic body will receive one of such ambulances.
